Secret to staying young

Sponsored Review

Healthy and radiant skin isn’t hard to achieve. However our hectic lifestyles causes us to neglect our health and causes us to lose our radiance. We age faster and look older than what we actually are.

To look young, the key is to eat food with collagen. 70% to 80% of our protein composition in our body is made up of collagen. Women lose collagen together with our monthly periods, therefore we age faster than men. Fish contains concentrated amounts of collagen! There are also supplements we can take to get collagen, they are usually in bottles (for drinking) or pills.

I was given the honour to try out Avalon’s Japanese Fish Collagen which is supposed to be hassle free supplement!

There are currently 3 fruity flavors: Mango, Blueberry and Lemon! From each packet contains 5 small sachets, good to put it in our bags discreetly because it doesn’t take up space!

Besides collagen, it contains L-Vitamin C, magnificent anti-oxidant and anti-ageing properties! It also contains a combination of beneficial bacteria strains that further aids in collagen peptides and L-Vitamin C absorption, therefore doubling the effectiveness of anti-ageing and anti-oxidants, hence resulting in skin becoming radiant and healthy!

The fish collagen has no added sugar, and therefore making it perfect for weight watchers and people with diabetes!

Verdict:

For those who have consumed drinks with added collagen before, it should tastes a little slimy and fishy (I’ve tried once before and totally regretted buying that drink. YUCK.)! However I tried the Mango flavor in plain water and it’s tasteless, except for a slight mango taste in my water!

There’s no effect on my skin or nails yet so I can’t tell you if it really works. I guess you have to consume it daily for at least a month or two to really see a difference. After all, it’s not an elixir right?

You can now get them at an introductory price of S$48.90! The usual price S$58.90 for a pack of 30 sachets and the product is now sold island wide in Guardian, John Little, OG, Robinsons, NTUC Unity and Watsons.

Or, you can also try it out by getting a sample over here!
